I’m so interested in this round!!
The whiteman finally realize that the 22 cal guns can kill bigger game?
Hey where can I get 22 creedmore ammo?
Ok I’m all for fast round and overbite cartridges I just don’t understand how people 1 think that a 22 is ok for big game and 2 have been calling the 264 wi. Mag 2506 257 Wetherby mag and assorted others barrel burners when this it literally the same thing with less power
Awesome information 👏
How do they compare to a Borden, and are they available in Australia, cheers Yogi ✌️🤙🇦🇺
Would this caliber be a good wolf gun thats fur friendly?
The old standby peanut butter crackers didn’t even make this list? Come on!
Hmm...are tthese Ballistics spot on ???....
Lame
Great episode guys! But you forgot my squirt drink to go along with the little Debbie’s/Nutter butters 😂 good stuff!
3300 fps, with what bullet weight? That's important.
I ordered a "left handed" Vandal back in Feb with a 90 day lead time. Order #5659. Since then I have called once to make sure the order went thru properly a couple days after ordering then again 60 days in and again 90+ days in. Each time I was told that my gun would be checked on and I would be called back promptly. I have not received the first phone call, text, nothing-nada! This is a piss poor way to do business. I was fine with the 90 day wait BUT I am NOT ok with the complete nonexistence of customer service that you guys obviously lack!
I'm late, but, congratulations to the young lady!
More left hand stuff!
Just bought the Vandel Dark this morning from a dealer in Abilene Texas. No ammo to be had at dealer or the website for the 80 grain ELDX.
Thanks for doing all of this hard work. I have been out of the shooting game for a while. The 22 creedmoor has gained my interest for various personal reasons. I am retired army and cannot afford one of your rifles, so I was looking at putting a 22CM barrel on an old M70 action that has been sitting in a box for 7+ years. Your work is helping decide on the barrel length. Again, thank you!
It’s either large or small rifle primers The magnum , large rifle , etc are how hot they burn
So they using higher bc bullets to get the speed ?? Well then stick with the 22 250 or b3tter yet AI and be done .. It offers nothing over 22 250 or swift
I honestly don't see enough praise for the .22-250 All my buddies are trying to be super tacticool with their AR platforms and I already feel like a video game sniper everytime I pull the bolt
Gotta say interesting..and a shout out to John McAdams 🤟
i would have liked it if you spent a little more time talking about the bolt internals. That's what separates the excellent from the want-a-bees IMO. I have an older TAC 30 AW and love it.
Hacking the barrel off and hand cutting the crown is not going to give you accurate information on where the point t of impact is changing other than to tell you that a hack job will not give you accurate information. Just my $.02 worth.
Y'all ever gonna look into adding a controlled round feed action?
Which stiller action comes in the 22 creed vandal x?
We need a 25 wsm
100% agree!
I love love love tge 300 wsm
Heck yeah great round!
Great update on the Wombat! Looking forward to running it on my new VC when it is ready. Good knowledge on the bolts and actions.
Why can't a barrel be wire edm cut before rifling
You got the wombat shirts in a large? 🤣
The 338 RCM is the parent case for the 6.5 PRC, so there is effectively one already. It is not popular, though.
What about velocity SD at each barrel length and a group for each barrel length?
I haven't been able to find one!
Haha 😄
I went with CCI 450s just cause of availability. I seen about 20-30fps more with LRP. Im intrigued to try N560 I've been using it in my 7 PRC Vihtavuori is a little more wallet friendly when you find than the Varget im using now.
What speeds you getting using n560
2935 was last 5 shot average I recorded. 18 inch barrel 162 eldm. Extreme spread was 38 sd 14. Was playing with seating depth an quit when Turkey season came in. It an N565 was giving me good ES an SD I was pushing it pretty good probably back down I was just wanting 2800+ with the 18 inch barrel.
Zak is a really solid, down to earth dude…great podcast and I’m glad y’all had him on!
Thanks Wes for the kind words bud!
Thanks for the comment! Zak is a great guy and it was a super fun chat!
enjoyed listening Zak is a good dude. awesome to see more data coming out

Happy to hear you enjoyed the episode - Zak was a great guest!
@@Horizon_Outdoors going to be down that way in October! May have to swing by!
Nice shirt.. lol.. thank u .. bad ass seeing it ..
Of course buddy! Got to rep my buddy’s!
One more thing on your 14" 22 Creed Pistol. If, you are determined to go with a LER pistol scope for shooting distance there are two current ones in production, and maybe a third. Crimson Trace Brushline Pro 2.5-8x28 BDC Pistol Scope. It has a great reticle for multiple holding points. Main Negative...It has very little internal MOA! The Weaver 2-6 pistol scope has the double the internal MOA, but I have only used it out to 500 yards on steel. An older Leupold or Burris (with Ballistic Plex) that had target turrets on them would be great to use, with the Leupold having more internal adjustment than any LER scope. Burris Signature Zee rings will allow you to add more MOA through the rings. I used one of those when I was shooting steel at 500 yards with a 357 Magnum revolver. Leupold discontinued making pistol scopes, and Burris LER's seems to be harder to find now, and they didn't have nay at SHOT. Suppressor and or a good brake with a rifle scope is so much better for what you are looking for...And you already have that
“It’s going to go off and die somewhere” smh
Enjoyed it. In terms of using your 14 inch 22 Creed pistol out to 1000 yards. There are no real good long eye relief pistol scopes out there. Have I used pistol scopes out to 1000 yards and beyond with success? The answer is yes, but it is frustrating compared to using a good rifle scope. A good solid bottomed muzzle brake will make using a rifle, scope, a joy, but I believe you’re going to use a suppressor, and that will help reduce recoil, also it will add weight to the gun which will retard recoil as well If you were shooting prone on the dirt, with a Bipod, just the dirt itself will retard movement backwards, compared to be shooting it off a smooth bench. A Bipod and a small field bag underneath the pistol grip will allow you to shoot accurately as far as that gun is capable of. I’m glad you’re going to do another video on the 22 Creed pistol
Great stuff here -- thanks for the comment!
@@Horizon_Outdoors , Thank you. Shooting and hunting with specialty pistols at distance, is what I enjoy most. Just last Friday I ran two of them to 1K and 1200 yards respectively. Cows had knocked down the 1350 and 1500 yard targets or I would have shot further.
I used to paint rifles for Horizon, I had a ton of fun painting and assembling the customs, I think it's really cool starting to see 22cm in my feed.
Great Podcast, Thank you for Bringing a reputable Handloader, Shooter, Hunter and Author on the show. Really opened my eyes to the 22 Creedmor and its capabilities. Looking forward to the next video.
Thanks for the comment! Zak was a great guest and is a better guy!
Great podcast dude! I enjoyed it.
Thanks! Was a lot of fun!
Great podcast dude! I enjoyed it.
Thanks for listening!
I built a 220 swift with a 1/8" Kreiger shooting imr 4350 nosler 69 c.c at 3511fps. Shoots sub moa at 800. Bucks wind right with 22 Creed
Awesome! that’s a awesome build! What barrel length?
69 gr nosler custom competition. H4350. Sweet
Yeah that shoots lights out in my 22 Creedmoor as well!
Good stuff Zak! Great podcast. Gonna have to get me one of those hats!
Heck yeah bud! Thanks 🙏
I’ve been loving the 62 eldvt in my 18” 22 creed inside 100 yards it makes a nasty hole but over 140 can’t hardly tell you hit em been great
Awesome! I am trying get my hands on some! To play with!
@@ReloadingQuestthey won’t disappoint!!
@@jwagner47 awesome! Thanks for the info!
Alex Wheeler designed reamers are ever so slightly wider help take care of the clicking problem.
If your having issues with stability with 90’s in an 18 inch going to 24 probably won’t solve it. Derrick needs to send you a1/7.5 twist and you will be money. N560 was one of the first powders I tried in 2012 with the 22CM but the better option is the N565.
Yeah I know 1:8 have done it for 90gr ones but won’t know till I try. I assume it will be a 1:8 twist because that’s what is SAAMi approved. I am thinking making east where I can get some elevation and see what it does. The bullets coming apart in the barrel spinning the jacket off. So that might need to just back the speeds off.
